E-Office
Towards a Digitized Workplace
In a move that will go a long way in protecting environment and cutting down carbon footprint, Bihar Bhawan's Resident Commissioner’s Office is going completely paperless with 100% adoption of e-Office and e-filing operations. More than 226 files of the office have been made digitally accessible and permissible share.
With the vision to make Bihar Bhawan operations more efficient and contactless given the pandemic, the Hon'ble Resident Commissioner Smt. Palka Sahni has inaugurated the e-Office on the eve of 75th Year of India's Independence, 15th August 2021.
In March this year, the employees of RC office were given adequate training before the exposure into this e-space. Hon'ble Resident Commissioner had then chaired a meeting with the IT Manager Amit Kumar and other officials of the office.
Hon'ble RC said, “The idea of an entirely paperless office is in sync with the flagship initiative “Jal Jeevan Hariyali” program by the Hon'ble Chief Minister Shri Nitish Kumar. Despite the prevalence of e-documents, most govt. offices still rely on paper, however, there are many benefits of going paperless; from boosting security to saving resources. Such an initiative will reduce the burden of papers in the future.”
